Custom wide body E-Type Series 1

A 6-speed Richmont (former Dough Nash) gearboxis fittet. 5th gear is one to one and 6th gear is overdrive 1 – 0,6 which gives a speed of 60 km/hour at 1000 rpm. The gearbox takes easily a 500 Hp engine.
The rear diff is 3,31 to 1 (43/13) with original limited slip.
The original, front suspension, (torsional spring) is taken away. Now it´s coil over shock.
All six shock absorbers, adjustable, are made by GAZ (coil over shock type)
All springs (front and rear) are from Rob BeereRacing. Stiffer and shortened.
Rear roll bar is original with POLY bushings
Front roll bar is 19 mm (3/4”) with uniballs and POLY bushings.
Front top wishbones are lowered 25 mm at the chassifixings and all bushings are of ”POLY”.
The brakes is standard with EBC red stuff pads.
The exhaust system is all in stainless steel. The mainsilencers are made by FERRITA.

The engine started as a 1965 Chevrolet 327, with 294 Hp SAE.
It was bored outto 336 cu.inch and fitted with TRW forged racing pistons. The block was fitted with Milodon four boltmain bearing caps and was alignbored. The block was ”decked” after alignboring. Eagle H-beamforged connecting rods was fitted. The crank is forged and fully balanced by a wellknown balancingcompany. At front of the crank is a Fluid-damper, 8,5 inch harmonic balancer and at the other end a Howard forged aluminium flywheel with a Centerforce dual friction clutch.
At the top of the block i Brodix track 1 aluminium heads fitted, with the maximum size of the stainless steel valves. Summit aluminium needlebearing rocker arms 1,6 to 1 is fitted. The heads is ported and matched to the Edelbrock Victor Junior single plane inlet manifold with a Holley 780 CFM, 4-barrel carburettor. The ignition system is MSD billet distributor, fully electronic with a Summit ignitionbox. A Milodon high volume oilpump is fitted and an Edelbrock aluminium high capacitywaterpump. The oilpan is, finned, cast alumimiumwith trap doors.
The valve system is a roller cam from CompetitionCams, street/strip grind.
All bolts and screws in the whole engine are from ”ARP”.
The headers is 4 into one 3-inch collector. The primaries are 1, 7/8 inch (47,5 mm) and they areceramic coated by ”Jet Hot coating” in USA.
The radiator is made by ”Griffin” for a 500 HP engine.
